There are minor differences between Jentz and Spielberger, I have used Jentz’ figures because they are more detailed and the most recent. On 1 July 1942 it was decided that the designation Ausf.F was to be used instead of Ausf.F1, and Ausf.G instead of Ausf.F2. Zusatzpanzerung was fitted to the Ausf.G (F2) starting with 8 in May 1942, 16 per month from June, 50 percent of production after November, and all Ausf.G after January 1943. The vehicle designation was changed to Sd.Kfz.161/2 from March 1943 onwards when vehicles were equipped with the longer barrelled 7,5cm Kw.K.40 L/48 gun. Schürzen was fitted to the hull sides and turret sides and rear from May 1943. [up]
