Broneboinij — armour piercing. Prefix used for Soviet ammunition nomenclature. (Russian)
BHN
Brinell Hardness Number. A measurement of the hardness of a material. The BHN is usually quoted as a range of values rather than as a single value. The BHN of FH armour uses a back slash “\” to separate the value of the face hardened surface from the value of the rear face. For example, a BHN of >555\353-382 indicates the surface has a hardness of greater than 555 and the rear face has a hardness of 353 to 382. More information on the measurement of armour plate hardness is in the Background Information section.

Boulet de Rupture — armour piercing shot. This seems to be used for solid shot AP projectiles with no HE within them (boulet means literally roundshot), whereas AP/HE projectiles seem to use the term PR. The acronym OR can also be for both AP and AP/HE projectiles. (French)
